Just Do It...

I have had the privilege of working with the Center for Civic Engagement this semester as the Student Chair of the United Way Campaign. The CCE did a great job raising more money than ever and I was honored to be part of it.

The CCE is an excellent resource for students on our campus. It serves as a one stop shop for students when they are looking to get involved in the community. They can help you find a place to do your service, track the hours, and provide official verification on WVU letterhead. It takes all of the work off of the student and I know that many will agree with me when I say that is a huge help.

I believe that giving back and serving your community should be part of everyone’s daily lives. The staff of the CCE believes that, as well. It never amazes me how much they care about service and motivating others to get involved. They are truly a remarkable group of people and I’m proud to call them all my friends.

If you are thinking about getting involved or giving back, please let the CCE help! You can stop by their offices in Stansbury Hall or visit their website at http://cce.wvu.edu.

If you aren’t sure about getting involved, just take the leap and do it…it could change your life.
